Stand Alongside Foundation Uganda, we are committed to giving all children regardless of their backgrounds the opportunity to learn and reach their full potential in supportive environment to change their lives, families and community.

Educating such children is the best way to end poverty
cycle, illness and violence in community. Children we help are the orphans, children with AIDs, poorest of the poor, children with disabilities and abandoned ones.

Our sponsorship program covers tuition, meals, scholastic materials, healthcare and counseling and guidance to keep in schools.

Our sponsorship program starts from data collection by our team and a list of children in most need is made ready. We then seek sponsors for such children in most need, the orphans, HIV affected, abandoned and poorest of the poor.

Sponsored children write letters to their sponsors and its possible to send back a sponsored child a letter in English.

Water Sanitation and Hygiene is a key factor in life. Many children are at risk of waterborne diseases such as typhoid, diarrhea, cholera, and dysentery.

In rural community of Kalungu district, typhoid is the mostly reported water related disease from health facilities. Children are using contaminated water from swamps and valley dams that were constructed to provide water for irrigation as this place is experiencing dry spells year after year.

Lwabenge, a sub-county of Kalungu district is the driest and a cattle corridal. Government drilled some boreholes for this community mostly in 1995 and many are non-functional, children alternatively are using dams as source of water unfortinately they are sharing water with animals. Others get water from Kiringa swamp where also animals go for water, many villages totally have no well and children and women move long distances for water.

Stand Alongside Foundation Uganda is looking for volunteers to help in fundraising for repair of non-functional wells, drilling of new wells
and empowering water management committees.

Giving aid is a selfless act that can transform lives and communities. Stand Alongside Foundation Uganda we believe in helping communities within our scope where poverty and inequality persist.

Many families in Kalungu miss a meal, children go to school hungry, many go to school bearfoot and with torn clothes.

Others sleep on mats with poorly constructed mud houses roofed with thatched grass with torn blankets and no bedsheets.

Stand Alongside Foundation Uganda is welcoming all volunteers to rebuild hope in such families by donating food, clothes, shoes, mattreses, bedsheets and blankets.
